Greenfield Services: Covid -19

Covid 19-

We feel it our duty to join others in the fight to protect our people, our customers and our community amid the spread of Covid – 19.

We are taking the tough, but necessary decision to temporarily close our showroom from Monday 23rd March at 5pm.

We have also taken the very difficult decision to postpone all jobs we have booked in with our engineers.

If you would like to get booked in for a boiler or fire service or to accept a quotation we have sent you, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Our phones will be still be answered Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm and we will be responding to emails: office@greenfieldservices.com.

If you are an existing customer and have an emergency during this time, please call Vic on 07966 184249 and we will do our very best to help you.

Until we are able to get back to normality, we hope that for everyone there is some opportunity to spend time at home and catch up on all those jobs you have been planning on doing!

Stay safe and well.

With our very best wishes from

Karen and Vic Greenfield

We feel it our duty to join others in the fight to protect our people, our customers and our community amid the spread of Covid – 19.

At Greenfield Services we are doing all we can to continue to provide the highest level of customer care and support we can during this difficult period. We recognise the increased uncertainty that coronavirus is causing but we also know that the heating industry has a very important role to play; people still need heating and hot water.

The information and guidelines we get from government are changing daily. We are following these guidelines and recommendations closely, as well as implementing our own practices and procedures to reduce the risk.

What do the new restrictions announced by the UK Government mean for gas engineers?

The HSE is currently seeking guidance from Cabinet Office on what gas engineering services and scenarios are considered essential for the next 3 weeks; for example, attending emergency breakdown.  As soon as more definitive guidance is available, we will publish this.

As of the evening of 23rd March, we have suspended our Gas Safety inspections until we have more guidance.  We anticipate that we will need to continue, but will confirm this soon, once we the guidance from Cabinet Office and HSE on what they need from the industry to support the nation.
